OMRON pick-and-place Robot Project
The second of my projects at Bobrick Washroom. I fully set-up and prepared the OMRON robot as well as its environment. This project required, robotic motion control, system logic (ACE software), fixture design, and rapid prototyping. I brought the project to life from CAD file to fully functioning robotic system, ready for the next engineer to direct the robot's moves and finalize fixturing.
CAD file that highlights system complexity
Vibratory screw feeders, computer controlled electric screw driver and gripper, auto tool changing feature
Fully wired PLC box, reused available parts for quick turn around time
Used relays to allow for the powering of the electric screw drivers
Shows the small/awkward size of the components the robot must handle
Designed holding plate to take advantage of useful part geometries
Shows the auto tool changer feature in action
The system is ready for final fixture design and path coordinates
